Rocket Rats is a short Bullet Heaven game that hits the itch right and doesn't overstay its welcome. There are a total of 6 different characters with different skill trees, so they play a little differently. Your goal is to stay alive till level 30. After each wave, you get to choose an upgrade. There are also rare upgrades that, if you have both skills to max level, you get to combine them. For example, you have thunder and poison both on level 7, you can find an upgrade that your thunder attacks also poison the enemies.
None of the achievements in Rocket Rats are missable, and completion takes around 6 hours. I love the diverse list of achievements. You have the general achievements like unlocking every character, beating the game with a certain thing/status, etc. It also has an achievement for using every upgrade at least once, and it comes with an in-game menu where you can see which ones you still have left, which is great to have this easily accessible, even while choosing an upgrade! I planned a lot around this list to get the combined skills. I recommend trying different strategies/combos each run, and don't fall back on the one you love the most. The most challenging achievement might be beating wave 30 with a character without using their personal skill tree, but as the guide linked above said, I used the thunder character as well. And the most grindy achievement will be to have unlocked all the skill tree upgrades of every character. For this, I mainly used the first rat with their middle tree, where they get more cheese. As well as let the game run for a bit after wave 30 to grab some extra cheese each run.
I give Rocket Rats 4 out of 5 stars.
