In Shelldiver, you play as a turtle who lives on an island full of destroyed buildings. Your hammock just broke, so it is time for you to rebuild
the island ... your hammock. And to do so, you will dive into the ocean, catch jellyfish with your bubble gun, and very soon you'll unlock a laser gun to destroy the rocks for gems. With those resources, you'll upgrade your abilities to dive deeper and catch jellyfish that are worth a lot more.
I was amazed by how much more the jellyfish in each area are worth. Even if you struggle in a new location, catching just one or two jellyfish might still be worth it because you can make so much more money with the new fish. And with those, you can instantly buy upgrades to make the new area so much easier.
I love how, by the end, you are a crazy diver who just instantly kills all the jellyfish and destroys the rocks like they are made of paper. Grinding for the last few upgrades in the skill tree was still so much fun, maybe even more fun because it is just insane from where you start to where you end.
None of the achievements are missable. All will be unlocked while working on the full skill tree. I had a lovely time catching jellyfish and gathering gems.
I give Shelldiver 4,5 out of 5 stars.
