In order to reach 1200 expertise, you need 12 orbital workshops operating at 100 expertise each (i.e. 12 workshops at full bonuses) while having all technologies inactive (expertise
balance needs to be 1200, not just total expertise). You need to unlock all expansions in the tech tree first (the green circles between the main tech trees). A station receives full bonuses from:
• 10 astronauts of the correct type
• Being at optimal temperature
• Full bonus from corresponding modules
• Resources shipped in from other regions
