    (As of version 2.2.5) you must sell 100,000 coins worth of items to the 'Jeweler' specifically (which is not specified in the description). I personally obtained this by selling a singular large gold bar. I wouldn't consider prioritizing this until "tier 2" mining when money becomes no object.
