This should come naturally as you play the game, but in battles you will notice that having a combination of some characters will make a command called "Unite" show up when choosing actions for a character during a battle. A Unite attack can have many different effects, so pay attention, but most of the time it's extra damage. Simply choose "Unite" and go on with your turn and when the combo happens, you'll unlock the achievement.
