The first save button will appear after the 2 guillotines.
BEWARE. You have to hit the ballon right before getting to them, so aim up after the wrecking balls, and press L Mouse (by default). After getting the wooden board down, dodge the next obstacle, step on it and you will have a one-time save place that you can use when you die.
