Whenever you die, the game forces you to use one during the Try Again screen. After loading to your checkpoint, press Right Shift if Keyboard (default keybind) or
(Back/View/Select) button to open the Menu, choose Reset and load up the latest save.
You must do this step every time you die on a mission.
