The Mesa biome consists of a starting flat area with hills and tornadoes, a canyon, and a mountain beyond it. Set up a cannon on one side of the canyon as close as you can get, the default 45 degree angle will get you across to a similar height platform on the other side. Jump in the cannon and light the fuse, and godspeed!
