For this achievement, you’ll have to complete the Rite of Channeling at least 100 times.

To do this, you must first unlock the Rite of Channeling ability near the end of the Azuria story arc. Once unlocked, you can access it through the stables or at your camp.

The Rite of Channeling is an integral part of the Monster Hunter Stories series and lets you amplify and augment the power of your Monsties, but giving them the skills, or “genes” of other Monsties.

The Rite of Channeling has been improved significantly in Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, compared with its predecessors, with very welcome quality of life upgrades that make the whole process a lot better.

This includes the ability to re-order the genes on your Monstie, the ability to search by gene rather than checking each individual Monstie in your stables for the one gene you’re looking for, and the ability to take multiple genes from the same source Monstie, albeit one at a time, as they are no longer consumed during the Rite.

You can also align genes by element and type - horizontally, vertically, and diagonally - to create “bingos” which further amplify your Monstie, giving them a boost in that element or move type.

Through the Rite of Channeling, you can ensure your Monstie has a move to cover each of the three attack types, status moves from other Monsties, element boost, critical rate increases – the possibilities are endless. Well, they would be if you had more than 9 slots to put the genes into.

You’ll no doubt be doing this a LOT to improve your Monsties, but, once you’ve performed the Rite of Channeling 100 times, you’ll have your achievement!

Like many of these achievements, you can check your progress in your Ranger Records by pausing the game, navigating to “Ranger Files” (one tab to the right), and then selecting the Ranger Records dossier (the red one on the right). The Inheritance Token medal is the eighth and final medal on the fifth row.
